KROHNE has released its new OPTIPROBE flowmeter

KROHNE has announced the availability of its OPTIPROBE electromagnetic insertion-type flowmeter that provides monitoring of conductive clean liquids in water and wastewater applications.
This corrosion-resistant flowmeter comes in a variety of designs. The OPTIPROBE is available with an adjustable insertion length of up to 16 inches (400 mm) that can be easily fixed and released by an integrated ball valve.
This feature makes the OPTIPROBE ideal for retrofitting pipes without process interruption (hot tapping), allowing the flowmeter to be installed and removed under pressure.
The benefits of the OPTIPROBE include a wide (bi-directional) measuring range, all wetted parts made of non-corrosive materials, available as IP 68/NEMA 6P rated version, optional special coatings for burial installation or offshore use and optimisation for retrofitting in all existing pipework.
It is also easy to install into large diameters as compared to inline flowmeters, it is available as a compact version or a remote version with a field- or wall-mounted signal converter, and it has many diagnostic functions and multi language settings.
The OPTIPROBE can be used in water applications or effluent discharge, water distribution, water well flow measurement, indicative measurements in water and wastewater transportation lines, water network management, district metering areas for leak detection, monitoring of distribution networks and ballast water indication.
