Global pump manufacturer NETZSCH Pumps & Systems has strengthened its sustainability credentials after once again improving its EcoVadis rating, securing a Silver Medal for the sixth consecutive year.
The latest assessment underlines the company's long-term commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, with sustainability continuing to be embedded across its operations rather than treated as a standalone initiative.
EcoVadis, one of the world's leading business sustainability ratings providers, evaluates companies using a framework based on internationally recognised standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.
The methodology assesses organisations across a range of criteria, including environmental management, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
NETZSCH achieved an overall score of 81 out of 100 in the latest evaluation and reached the 94th percentile of all companies assessed. Within the general machinery manufacturing sector, the company now ranks among the top 2% of businesses evaluated by EcoVadis.
Johann Vetter, director of integrated quality management systems at NETZSCH Pumps & Systems, said the award reflects the company's commitment to continuous improvement.
"Receiving the EcoVadis Silver Medal once again is more than just recognition for us. It motivates us to continue consistently improving our sustainability performance. At NETZSCH, sustainability is not a project, but an ongoing commitment we have made to ourselves," he said.
The company attributes its strong performance to a structured sustainability strategy supported by clearly defined responsibilities and an integrated management system that incorporates sustainability requirements throughout the organisation.
For NETZSCH, the latest result represents another milestone in a long-term journey rather than a final destination. As customers, regulators and investors place increasing emphasis on sustainable business practices, the company's continued improvement in independent assessments such as EcoVadis demonstrates both progress and commitment.
The sixth consecutive Silver Medal reinforces NETZSCH's position as a sustainability-focused manufacturer and highlights the growing importance of responsible business practices across the industrial and fluid handling sectors.
