Bonomi opens new actuation centre

The valve and actuator specialist said that the new facility comes as part of an effort to consolidate growth in the UK by expanding its actuated valve workshop and warehouse facilities.

The 360m2 building, called the Bonomi Actuation Centre, doubles the company’s pallet racking space. Bonomi hopes the added capacity will enable greater efficiencies in its central warehouse facility.

Bonomi’s UK’s sales director Jason Hill said in a press release: “The new unit has been custom designed to facilitate the speedy processing of orders, further streamlining what is already a highly efficient service. The move is timely given the ever increasing demand for our products and services.”

The company reports a strong position, with healthy sales numbers and the introduction of a dedicated oil and gas division.

The last major expansion for the company was a 120,000m2 facility in Brescia, Italy, which can produce 130,000 valves per day. The facility uses a number of technologies, including solar panels and geothermal ground-source heat pumps, to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.
