Spectronics and ChemPoint sign distribution agreement for fluorescent leak detection dyes
Spectronics Corp. and ChemPoint EMEA have entered into a strategic partnership for the distribution of the Spectroline-Glo fluorescent leak detection dye for water/water-glycol based systems.
The terms of the agreement grant ChemPoint the exclusive right to distribute and market Water-Glo in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
ChemPoint, a subsidiary of Univar, markets, sells, and distributes specialty and fine chemicals to clients worldwide.
ChemPoint's MRO portfolio includes a wide range of organic synthetic, silicone, and glycol-based heat transfer fluids, which are available in a variety of concentrate and blend options.
Water-Glo fluorescent dyes reveal all leaks in static and circulating water systems, boilers, storage tanks, and other high-volume containers.
The Water-Glo family of dyes are used to detect leaks in piping, valves, condensers, sprinkler system pumps, seams, welds and fittings.
Wherever the water escapes, so does the dye, which remains at the site of all leaks.
When the system is scanned with a high-intensity ultraviolet or violet light lamp, the dye glows brightly to pinpoint the precise location of every leak.
"We've been considering a strong global partnership to help us leverage our Water-Glo brand internationally," said Matt Roesser, international sales manager at Spectronics. "ChemPoint is that partner. They have a great breadth and depth of market knowledge. We're excited about matching our brand with their resources and strategies."
