Cook Compression opens satellite valve service centre in Italy

Earlier this year, Dover Precision Instruments’ subsidiary Cook Compression celebrated the opening of its satellite service facility in Sicily, Italy to support to reconditioning of compressor valves for ISAB, part of Lukoil Oil, as well as other refineries in the region.

ISAB has now awarded Cook Compression a multi-year contract to provide technical support, reconditioning and upgrades for reciprocating compressor valves.

“We are proud to provide our valve expertise and local support to the ISAB refinery,” commented Dean Lewis, vice-president, aftermarket for Europe and Russia at Cook Compression. “This service facility represents our commitment to building lasting partnerships that help our customers improve compressor performance and minimize equipment downtime.”

Service personnel received training from Cook Compression’s European operations headquarters in the UK, and ISAB has completed a full audit of the repair facility.

In addition to offering rigorous inspection and repair services, the company is also able to recommend valve upgrades to customers for improved reliability and efficiency. In-house engineering teams optimise valves for the end user’s specific operation conditions, applying a range of proven designs.

Cook Compression’s global portfolio includes reconditioning, replacements and upgrades for compressor sealing components, packing cases, pistons, rods and cylinders, as well as valves. The Sicily service facility has space to expand capabilities to support the region’s compressor service, repair and upgrade needs.
