Axens acquires wastewater treatment firm

Axens has acquired HydroThane Holding BV, an engineering company specialising in biological technologies for the treatment of industrial wastewater streams to protect the environment.
The biogas produced through this technology can be further valorised after biochemical and chemical desulphurisation process, part of HydroThane’s portfolio.
Based in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, HydroThane has more than 35 years of operational experience and a proven track record of above 170 references worldwide in a wide range of industries such as food and beverages (including breweries, distilleries, dairies), PTA production plant (purified terephthalic acid), chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper and bioethanol production.
