SlurryPro releases new FPT Drain Plug

UK-based pump manufacturer Atlantic Pumps announced that its brand SlurryPro has launched its new Freeze Protection Technology (FPT) Drain Plug.

According to the release, the product is built for rugged conditions such as those in the mining and quarrying industries, eliminating cold weather downtimes.

It can be supplied and fitted to new pumps, whilst also being able to be retrofitted to any existing slurry pump.

The absence of water in the FPT Drain Plug eliminates the danger of a freeze-thaw process damaging the pump or pipework in the event of a serious freeze.

“When we heard of sites losing two hours production in the morning due to freeze-ups, costing them £5,000 in lost production, we knew we needed to provide a solution” said Nathan Rowles, sales director at Atlantic Pumps.

“We are pleased this innovation is now available to make our customers’ lives easier.”
