Protective hose sleeve contains bursts at up to 12,000 psi.
Parker Hannifin has announced a new addition to its Hose Products Division, to be included in its Partek line of hydraulic hose sleeving products.
A new hose protection sleeve designed to prevent worker injuries and equipment damage from high-pressure hose bursts, introduced as Partek Defense, features high-performance materials and a proprietary endurance-boosting weave pattern to contain pressurised hose bursts and dissipate media within hose assemblies. It can be used in industry applications where operators work in close proximity to high-pressure hoses, including mining, construction and agriculture.
The MSHA-rated protective sleeving contains host bursts at up to 12,000 psi. It is highly flexible and does not restrict hose routings. For simple installation, users cut the sleeve to hose length and secure it over the hose assembly with metal band clamps. The fibres used to make the sleeve are specially coated to protect hoses against sunlight, ozone and other environmental conditions that cause deterioration.
