Finish Thompson showcases MSDB magnetic drive pumps for demanding water and wastewater duties
Finish Thompson Inc. (FTI) has introduced its MSDB series of magnetic drive sealless centrifugal pumps, engineered specifically for high head, low flow duties in water and wastewater treatment.

Building on the proven DB11/15 platform, the MSDB range features a flooded suction design and is available in two models: the MSDB2 with two impellers and the MSDB3 with three. Each additional stage increases head, enabling operators to achieve higher performance with smaller, more economical pump selections.

The pumps incorporate a high strength neodymium magnetic drive system with encapsulated inner drive magnets in unfilled polypropylene or PVDF, ensuring long term reliability in corrosive environments.

An easy set outer drive allows measurement free motor installation, while vertical mounting and IEC motor compatibility provide flexibility across plant layouts. ISO 1940 G2.5 balancing delivers smooth, efficient operation, and users benefit from a five year warranty, CE certification and optional ATEX rated models.

Constructed from durable materials including Ryton PPS with 40% glass filled R 4 components, the MSDB series is designed to handle high specific gravity fluids.

Options such as stainless steel clamp rings and bronze bump rings further enhance robustness in hazardous areas. Suitable for spray systems, filtration and chemical delivery, the pumps achieve heads up to 300 ft (91.5 m), flow rates as low as 1 gpm (0.23 m³/h) and working pressures up to 135 psi (9.3 bar).
