Process filter experts to highlight latest water quality technology
Process filter manufacturer Amazon Filters is set to showcase its latest water filtration capabilities at the annual DWQ Conference & Exhibition taking place at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham from 30 June to 1 July.

A key focus for the 41-year-old firm is on helping the UK water sector tackle contaminants, mitigate supply issues and strengthen resilience across critical infrastructure.

The DWQ event, now in its eleventh year, will bring together water company directors, engineers and senior managers responsible for water resources, drinking water quality, sustainability, climate change mitigation and drought and flood risk management.

A centrepiece of Amazon Filters’ Stand 1 display will be a specially transported three-dimensional model of a plug-and-play containerised filtration skid.

The real containers feature SupaSpun II absolute-rated depth filters which are approved for use in the public water supply under Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016.

The display is expected to generate interest from delegates looking at rapid-response solutions for maintaining water quality during floods, droughts and other supply emergencies and disruptions.

Lisa Astbury, head of UK sales, said: “Robust filtration technology is fundamental to meeting those challenges, providing reliable protection against a wide range of contaminants and supporting resilient treatment operations.

“DWQ is an excellent opportunity for us to engage directly with water industry professionals and demonstrate practical solutions that can be deployed quickly when resilience is critical.

“Our containerised skid illustrates how approved filtration technology can help water companies maintain safe drinking water supplies during planned upgrades as well as emergency situations when there is either too much or too little water.”

The event comes as the UK water industry continues to respond to AMP8, the latest national five-year regulatory and investment programme which began last year.

Representing £104 billion of investment, AMP8 is designed to modernise ageing infrastructure, reduce environmental pollution, improve resilience against climate change and restore fractured public confidence in water services.

Amazon Filters has manufactured and supplied critical filtration solutions to the UK and European water industries since the 1980s.
