Pentair expands Korean operations with new ball valve facility
Pentair Valves & Controls is expanding its Anseong manufacturing facility in South Korea. The plant will now also produce trunion mounted ball valves under Pentair's FCT brand.
The expanded facility enables Pentair to supply ball valves for local projects. Operations at the plant include valve manufacture, assembly and testing for critical applications in the on- and offshore oil & gas, marine and LNG industries.
The plant will produce forged carbon steel and FCT-branded stainless steel ball valves, certified to API 6D and API 607, in sizes up to 24". Design features include an anti-blow-out stem shouldered inside the body, and a three-barrier stem sealing, ensuring complete fire safety and fugitive emission control. In addition, the valve's true double block and bleed control at full rating with high trim resistance helps to provide a longer service life in critical process applications, such as water hammers.
The Anseong facility expansion builds on Pentair's FCT valve technology and expertise from its FCT flagship plant in Saint Juery, France, as well as those in Rescaldina, Italy, Sharjah, UAE, and Chengdu, China.
