Atlas Copco acquires Canadian compressors distributor
Atlas Copco has announced its acquisition of WestRon Group, a Canadian distributor of compressors and blowers, which focuses on sales, installations and service.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company has 26 employees, with additional branches in Ontario and British Columbia.
WestRon’s main focus is servicing and selling compressors and equipment to the general industrial manufacturing industry.
“Extending our service offering is a part of our strategy to grow our presence in this important region,” said Vagner Rego, business area president, Compressor Technique at Atlas Copco.
The purchase price of the acquisition was not disclosed by either company. WestRon will operationally become part of the Compressor Technique service division.
