Ampco acquires specialty tool and metal alloy producer

Ampco-Pittsburgh, a liquid processing equipment and centrifugal pump provider, has announced the acquisition of the business and assets of Alloys Unlimited and Processing, a specialty tool, alloy, and carbon steel round bar supplier.

Alloys also provides specialty services including precision saw cutting, CNC machining, rough turning and boring, heat treating, and trepanning.

Alloys is the newly formed subsidiary of Union Electric Steel in the forged and cast engineered products segment of Ampco-Pittsburgh.

Union Electric Steel is a producer of forged and cast roll products used by the ferrous and non-ferrous rolling mill industry.

Union Electric is also produces ingot and open die forged products which are used in oil and gas, aluminium, and plastic extrusion industries.
