Weir Valves & Controls completes ISO audit process in US
Weir Valves & Controls USA (WVC USA) has successfully completed the audit process and has been recommended for continued certification to ISO 9001:2015 standards, the company announced.
The Quality Policy Manual and related procedures have been reviewed for compliance and all employees have been trained on the updated manual.
The scope of the company's management system is defined as Design, Manufacture, Assembly, Test, Sales and Service of Valves and Flow Control Equipment. The audit was performed by two auditors from Hartford Steam Boiler Registration Services and took two days to review the manual, procedures and work instructions.
The audit included a review of sales order entry, purchasing, engineering and manufacturing processes. It also considered how the company measures overall business performance and customer satisfaction.
“I’m extremely proud of our entire team for their hard work and dedication toward achieving and maintaining these standards," said Mark Claffey, president of WVC USA. "We will focus our efforts on continually improving in order to serve the demands of our markets and customer base."
All flow control valves and spares manufactured at the WVC USA factory in Ipswich, Massachusetts are produced to ISO standards for commercial applications and ASME/CMS standards for nuclear applications, the company added.
