Verder acquires rotary lobe, centrifugal and twin-screw pump manufacturer

Verder Group has announced the acquisition of JEC, a manufacturer of hygienic, rotary lobe, centrifugal and twin-screw pumps.

According to a Verder announcement, the move aims to strengthen the company’s position in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage markets.

Korean company was JEC was founded in 1990, and produces a broad portfolio of pumps for the food, pharmaceutical and other hygienic markets. It has an extensive distribution network worldwide.

Following the acquisition by Verder, JEC company director James Song will remain ‘involved’ in the management of the company.

“We are very excited to have JEC join the Verder family of companies,” said Andries Verder, CEO of Verder Holding.

“We feel that the integration of JEC into the Verder sales and distribution organisation worldwide, will enable JEC to continue its high growth trajectory. The acquisition of JEC with the high quality rotary lobe, circumferential piston and twin screw pumps will also facilitate a stronger position for Verder in the Asian market and offers great opportunities in the important Korean market.”
