Val-Matic Valve comes under new ownership

AY McDonald has acquired Val-Matic Valve Corporation.
Val-Matic Valve, based in Elmhurst, Illinois, was founded in 1966 by Andrew Nuter and is a manufacturer of 14 valve product lines for the water and wastewater, industrial, commercial building construction and plumbing industries.
The company has an additional manufacturing facility in Addison, Illinois.
John Ballun, Val-Matic President and CEO, said: “My management team and I are excited and proud to join the family-owned, historic company AY McDonald. Val-Matic has a similar tradition of serving customers in the water works market for over 50 years with quality products and services.”

Each company will continue to operate independently with separate management, market strategies and sales operations.
AY McDonald was founded in 1856 and is a leading manufacturer of water works, plumbing, pumps, and natural gas products with their corporate headquarters, brass foundry, and main manufacturing plant located in Dubuque, Iowa. Additional plant locations are in Albia, Iowa, and
Elizabethton, Tennessee.
