Swedish heavy industry tech producer secures major orders for 2014
Alfa Lavel, a Sweden-based producer specialising in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling, has won two major orders in the past month for supply and use of its equipment.
The first is an order to supply equipment to a major brewery in Brazil. Alfa Laval will supply valves, pumps and heat exchangers to a process including fermentation, maturation, cooling, filtration, blending and storage.
The order has a value of approximately SEK 165 million (€18 million) and delivery is scheduled to start in 2014 and be finalised in 2015.
As well as this, a second contract will see the company supply compact heat exchangers to a crude oil production facility in Canada. The order is valued at approximately SEK 100 million (€11 million), with deliveries scheduled for 2014 and 2015.
The compact heat exchangers will be used for heat recovery and cooling of produced water in the crude oil treatment process.
Alfa Laval's products are also used in power plants, aboard ships, in the mechanical engineering industry, in the mining industry and for wastewater treatment, as well as for comfort climate and refrigeration applications.
