Swedish firm Atlas Copco completes buy out of American company

A Swedish global company has completed the purchase of a Michigan firm.

Atlas Copco, with about 39,000 employees worldwide that provides compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools and assembly systems, has signed the deal for Dekker Vacuum Technologies.

Dekker, established in 1998, is a leading provider of engineered vacuum pumps and systems used in applications. The company serves a variety of industrial markets including aerospace, chemical, food, medical services, oil and gas, power generation and wastewater.

“This acquisition will complement our existing portfolio in the liquid ring pump market and will enable us to serve more vacuum applications at our customers,” said Geert Follens, Business Area President Vacuum Technique.
