Global energy services company Shawcor’s pipe coating division has signed a contract with Subsea 7 to provide thermal insulation coating services for two projects: the Woodside Sangomar offshore and the Baltic Pipe offshore projects.
The contract for the Sangomar project, which is located offshore Senegal, was valued at around CAD$30-50 million (€20.7-34.6 million). Work is scheduled to be conducted from Shawcor’s facility in Orkanger, Norway commencing in the first quarter of 2021 and completing in the second quarter of that year.
The deal for the Baltic Pipe project, which follows a letter of intent announced earlier this year in January and valued at around CAD$67 million (€46.3 million), marks the start of a definitive contract for the project.
