Scheuch to supply flue gas cleaning facility for Adven

Scheuch will supply a flue gas cleaning plant to energy company Adven’s new 30 MW steam facility for Arctic Paper in the city of Munkedal.
The new cleaning plant will help Adven to fulfill the latest emission regulations as well as reduce its total environmental impact.
Scheuch’s turnkey delivery consists of a dry sorption system in combination with a wet scrubber. With this solution, the operational costs can be optimised and the upcoming BAT-AEL regulation will be fulfilled.
The first delivery will take place in November and the plant will be ready for operation in the spring of 2022.
The fulfillment of the new BAT-AEL regulation requires a combination of different flue gas cleaning technologies and this is where Scheuch offers its customers extensive expertise.
In this project a dry flue gas cleaning using Ca(OH)2/NaHCO3 and activated carbon is connected upstream to a wet scrubber system.
With this combination, all required emission limit values (or emission standards) will be met at any time and maximum system availability will be achieved.
“This is a very important order for us as it will prove our state-of-the-art technology for this kind of fuel in combination with the tough regulations,” said Magnus Hermansson, managing director at Scheuch AB.
“This is also the biggest order for Scheuch in Sweden so far and it will strengthen our market position as the superior supplier of complete flue gas cleaning solutions. In addition, it once again shows the importance of a local setup close to our clients.”
