Pipe producer China Lesso launches production in US

Chinese plastic pipe manufacturer China Lesso has launched production at its new Lesso America subsidiary in Corona, California.

 

Initial production at the newly opened plant involves plumbing and irrigation parts of up to 4” in diameter.

Lesso originally set up Lesso America in 2012, when the company started importing components from China.

Victor Lin, president at Lesso America, says the year-long infrastructure, equipment acquisition, and improvement project at the site required significant investment.

Lessi has developed more than 1,000 moulds to manufacture products for the US market at a cost of more than $10 million (€8.75 million).

China Lesso Group, based in Foshan City, China, is a subsidiary of New Fortune Star and its product line includes plastic pipe, fitting, and metal valve solutions for water, wastewater, gas, and agricultural industries.
