Nordson EFD to showcase new fluid dispensing systems at upcoming events

Nordson EFD, a precision fluid dispensing systems manufacturer, will demonstrate its new series of automated fluid dispensing systems at a number of upcoming trade shows. The new systems can be integrated into any manufacturing situation from R&D to volume manufacturing.

'Nordson EFD's automated dispensing series ranges from the E Series, which uses a Teach Pendant for programming the dispense path, and the EV Series, which has a simple vision pencil camera to support on-screen set-up, to the PRO4L Series, which includes a fully integrated height sensor that detects height variations on the surface of a product and makes corrections to the tip's dispensing height to prevent uneven deposits and tip or workpiece damage,' says Nordson EFD product manager Kelvin Fernandez. 'So there are systems for every application.'

The new PRO Series' smart vision CCD camera captures detailed component part images and converts them into high resolution digital files, making it easier to see the dispensing path as parameters are set. The vision system is integrated with EFD's new DispenseMotion software, designed for precise fluid dispensing. The closed-loop system ensures the dispensing process stays under control. Importing and converting DXF, CAD, and Excel files is easy, and true three-dimensional motion control allows simplified programming of dots, lines, circles, arcs, compound arcs, and complex patterns.

EFD's PICO line of jet dispensing valves will also be displayed.
