New gas pipeline planned for Tennessee Country Club

Tennessee Gas Pipeline plan to build a meter station at Longmeadow Country Club, Tennessee.

The building of the facility will let Columbia Gas of Massachusetts buy more natural gas from Tennessee’s interstate 200 Line. A natural gas pipeline is also to be built and will go from Longmeadow to Springfield.  

Tennessee has been planning the construction of a meter station in Longmeadow for a while but its exact location has been kept undisclosed. However, according to Mass Live recent environmental documents as well as a historic preservation ruling have confirmed that Tennessee Gas Pipeline plan to build on the golf course. 

In the 1920’s The Longmeadow Country Club grounds were designed by Scottish-born gold course architect Donald Ross.
