Krohne cuts ribbon on ‘state of the art’ US facility

Measuring instrumentation specialist Krohne is celebrating the opening of its new flow and level measurement manufacturing and calibration facility in Beverly, Massachusetts.

A formal ribbon cutting ceremony, which included tours of the facility and presentations from Krohne executives, took place on 27 September.

As previously announced, the new facility is set to serve as Krohne’s new US headquarters as the company expands operations in the country. The Beverly site will produce a variety of new and existing flow and level products, while also servicing as the main distribution hub for all Krohne products in North America.

Administration, sales, service and marketing, as well as a new training centre, will all be located in Beverly. Meanwhile, the new production building will be interconnected to a new, two story office building. According to Krohne, this will triple the floor space compared to the existing facility in Peabody, MA.

“2018 will be a watershed year for Krohne in North America as we move into our brand-new factory in Beverly, MA where a variety of key products will be produced,” said Stephan Mimler, CEO of Krohne.

“Krohne is dedicated to the idea of producing the absolute best process measurement instrumentation for worldwide process industry users, and now, we will bring that production to the USA. This will surely enhance our opportunity for timely deliveries and for providing a broader range of resources to serve customer needs better.”

Fluid Handling International will be hosting a webinar with Krohne on 7 November 2018. Titled 'Rapid and Reliable Pipeline Leak Detection', the webinar will cover the importance of leak monitoring systems and how the E-RTTM method detects pipeline leaks reliably and rapidly. It will be hosted by Krohne's PipePatrol product manager, Daniel Vogt. Sign up here.
