IWJS appointed to five-year Anglian Water gravity sewer framework
The framework was tendered in three separate lots, with IWJS awarded a place on Lot 1 - cured-in-place pipe and cured-in-place repair.
The programme of work will see IWJS, which is part of M Group Services, delivering a range of gravity sewer rehabilitation solutions including UV, heat cured and ambient lining techniques, as well as the newest LED rehabilitation technology.
Beginning in September 2021 and with a potential framework value of £7.5million (€8.8 million), the five-year contract term includes an option to extend up to a further three years.
Christopher Stewart, managing director of IWJS, said: “IWJS has been working in partnership with Anglian Water for over 30 years and currently delivers jetting, tankering, CCTV survey and blockage clearance services across all four of its operational regions.
“Operating such a large established fleet from the six depots located within the Anglian Water Direct Labour Organisation will bring important cost efficiencies to this framework, as well as reducing reaction times. We are delighted to be supporting Anglian Water with gravity sewer rehabilitation solutions. In choosing IWJS, Anglian Water has recognised that innovation is core to our business helping to drive carbon and cost reductions.”
