Flowserve to showcase product reliability at event
The event on June 7 and 8 will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Centre in Houston.
Flowserve will showcase its broad valve and automation product offering, its RedRaven predictive maintenance solution that enables plant operators to proactively take steps to avoid equipment issues and unplanned downtime, along with its maintenance and repair operations in booth #1017 at the Expo. On display at the Expo will be Flowserve’s Valtek® Valdisk™ high-performance butterfly control valve, which has just completed a million-cycle test.
This demanding test simulates the rigorous operating conditions found in high-cycle applications, such as pressure swing adsorption (PSA) processes in chemical plants, oil refineries and other facilities.
Conducted in accordance with licensor criteria, this test measures seat and stem leakage over one million open/close cycles under high pressure (350 psi). The valve follows a defined control ramp to demonstrate sensitivity, repeatability, and linearity.
By increasing valve shutoff reliability, plant operators can maintain accurate pressure in the PSA vessel and extract purer hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen (or other gases). Increased gas purity and capacities lead to greater production and higher profits.
“Tight valve shutoff and accurate control enables high PSA process efficiency in addition to ensuring regulatory compliance and avoiding costs from product loss due to leakage,” said Cris Sidwell, global product leader at Flowserve. “It’s crucial to carefully consider valve performance and reliability for PSA applications. Flowserve has a complete range of control and on/off valves available to provide plant operators the best valve for all of their PSA requirements. Successfully completing a million-cycle test demonstrates Flowserve’s commitment to helping customers extend service life and lower total cost of ownership.”
