CHEMUK 2022 returned to the Birmingham NEC in the UK on May 11 for two days.
Following the pandemic the chemical industries supply chain event made its long-awaited return at the end of last year and six months later it was back again.
The event showcased specialist exhibitors in product development, R&D, supply chain, operational and logistics.
Major names booked for the show included TotalEnergies, BTC Europe, Brenntagg, Airedale Group and Atlas Copco.
New for this year’s event included a sustainability stage that hosted panel shows and feature presentations covering themes including chemical recycling and sustainable chemical processing.
Show organiser Ian Stone said: “CHEMUK is deliberately set out to be a total industry meeting point, creating a fusion of cross-sector energies, inputs and connectivity.
“However we also recognise the contrasting needs of attending engineering and plant technical management and the wider industry supply chain focused attendees.”
The event went down well with the hundreds of delegates who attended over the two days in the Midlands.
Rodney Steel, chief executive of BCMPA, described the event as ‘fantastic’.
He said: “There are more people here than the last one that was held six months ago, which is great to see.
“It’s a fantastic showcase for business people to put themselves out there and show what they have to offer.”
