Atlas Copco launches new range of GHS VSD+ rotary screw vacuum pumps with VSD

Atlas Copco has announced that it will release its new GHS 350-900 VSD+ vacuum pump range this month, providing users with energy savings of up to 50% compared to traditional rotary vane pumps.

The new GHS 350-900 VSD+ offers a lot of benefits for customers in various industries and represents a real leap forward in the vacuum industry.

The GHS VSD+ Series is a range of vacuum pumps with variable speed drive (VSD). Based on the existing plug-and-play design principles of Atlas Copco compressors, these vacuum pumps have been designed by vacuum engineers to deliver peak performance at operating pressures commonly found in industrial applications.

The GHS VSD+ Series offers a low noise level compared to other vacuum pumps available on the market today. Energy recovery leads to minimal hot air in the workplace – avoiding the usual problem of hot air in air-conditioned production environments. Its oil retention means that the quality of the exhausted air is optimal and also avoids oil spills on the factory floor, which commonly occurs with conventional oil-lubricated pumps. The end result is a cleaner working environment with faster cycle times.

Due to its plug and play design the GHS VSD+ Series assures an easy and fast installation which saves time and space. The footprint is one of the smallest on the market: no larger than the footprint of a standard pallet. Everything required is delivered as a complete package.

The GHS VSD+ series will be expanded with sizes up to 2,000m3/hr by mid-2015 and up to 4,500m3/hr early 2016.

The complete GHS VSD+ range is equipped with the Atlas Copco Elektronikon monitoring system, and SMARTlink which is suitable for remote monitoring. The Elektronikon is a monitoring system for vacuum pumps which can integrate the customer's plant management system and control other vacuum pumps.
