Asco introduces new high flow, low power spool valve pipe sizes
Asco has added to its 362 and 562 Series of brass and stainless steel spool valves by introducing ⅜” and ½ pipe sizes that feature high flow rates and low power consumption.
These new sizes provide design engineers with additional solutions for control valve automation, especially in the upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas markets, the company says.
"The ⅜” and ½” models have low power versions that are attractive for remote applications. In addition, the brass constructions are 20% smaller than competitive products, saving critical space in control cabinets," said Robert W. Kemple, Jr., executive CP of sales and marketing for Americas, Asco.
The valves' exceptionally high flow rates will enable original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to use smaller piping and purchase lower cost valves while achieving the same flow specifications.
The 362 and 562 Series valves are available in brass and 316L stainless steel constructions for corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
The series have both pneumatic and solenoid models, and optional features include a new dual approved solenoid option with ATEX and UL hazardous location approval and availability in 0.55W low power versions.
The 362 Series is a three-way valve made for single-acting process valve applications, while the 562 Series is a four-way spool valve designed for double-acting process valves.
The product lines are available in ¼”, ⅜”, ½”, ¾”, and 1” sizes.
