A comprehensive and high level scientific and institutional conference programme will take centre stage at Ecomondo 2026, Italian Exhibition Group’s flagship event for the circular and regenerative economy.
Now in its 29th edition, the show will return to Rimini Expo Centre from 3–6 November, offering companies, institutions, researchers and sector stakeholders more than 70 conferences, workshops and technical sessions curated by the International Technical Scientific Committee chaired by Professor Fabio Fava.

Resource efficiency and packaging will feature prominently, including sessions on WEEE and battery recycling with ERION, plastic circularity, and urban mining in the built environment with Green Building Council Italy and the Polytechnic University of the Marche.
Critical Raw Materials will be explored through EU Africa cooperation initiatives, while Sant’Anna High School, ENEA and UN Global Compact Network Italy will lead the fifth edition of the workshop on measuring circularity.
Textiles will take centre stage in Europe’s new circular economy, with events on eco design, EPR harmonisation, digital product passports and supply chain transparency. Healthy circular cities will be addressed through sessions with CNR, UNESCO’s Urban Health Chair and Bologna University, focusing on governance, digitalisation and resilient infrastructure.
Further highlights include the Paper District GDO & Grocery Summit, geotechnical innovation for land protection, regenerative bioeconomy and bioenergy, soil health, composting and anaerobic digestion, and sustainable forest management. Water related sessions will cover marine ecosystem regeneration, basin governance, emerging contaminants and smart water infrastructure.
