Ecomondo returns with a more global outlook and innovation driven event
Ecomondo, the Italian Exhibition Group’s flagship event for the green, blue, and circular economy, will return to Rimini Expo Centre from 3–6 November with its most internationally focused edition yet.

Now in its 29th year, the show is positioning itself as a global hub for industrial transformation, policy dialogue, and sustainable innovation at a time when Europe’s ecological transition is accelerating.

Ecomondo has long served as a meeting point for industry leaders, institutions, researchers, and policymakers. The 2026 edition strengthens that role, offering companies a strategic platform to forge partnerships, explore new markets, and scale up circular economy solutions. Start ups, scale ups, and SMEs will again be central to the event’s mission to accelerate innovation.

A major push is being made to expand Ecomondo’s international reach. Working with Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency, organisers are running a multi country Roadshow across Spain, Morocco, Germany, Hungary, and Canada to attract buyers and delegations from every continent. The event’s global network now includes Ecomondo Mexico, Ecomondo China—recently relaunched as a Shanghai based forum—and the Green Med Expo & Symposium in Naples.

The 2026 conference programme, curated by Ecomondo’s international Technical and Scientific Committee, will feature more sessions held in English and welcome new institutional partners including the European Commission, OECD, and FAO. Key European regulatory dossiers—such as the Circular Economy Act, Bioeconomy Strategy, Biotech Act II, and the Critical Raw Materials Act—will take centre stage, alongside discussions on AI, digital technologies, bioenergy, and circular urban development.

A major new feature this year is a hall dedicated entirely to the textile supply chain, reflecting the sector’s shift towards stricter sustainability rules. Other exhibition areas—ranging from Waste as a Resource to the Blue Economy, Bio energy, Earth Observation, and the Innovation District—will also expand.

The States General of the Green Economy will return for the event’s opening days, reinforcing Ecomondo’s status as a cross sectoral platform uniting communities committed to accelerating the ecological transition.
