Wood and Standard Gas collaborate on decarbonisation solutions
The new partnership will see Wood and Standard Gas collaborate to develop a ‘design, build and operate model’ for future plant developments, and will explore opportunities for Wood to become a strategic partner, providing lifecycle asset management solutions in the rollout of further SG100s.
Wood will provide Standard Gas with engineering, procurement, and construction management services, plant modifications and ongoing operational services and advisory across its plants.
Ellis Renforth, president of operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Wood, said: “Wood is delighted to work with Standard Gas, providing life cycle asset management solutions to support the development and rollout of its carbon reduction SG100 technology.
“We are focused on solutions that reduce the carbon footprint across the value chain for the future of net-zero.”
Laurence Sharrock, technical director of Standard Gas, stated: “Together, we’re working towards Wood becoming one of our strategic operating and delivery partners for Standard Gas, focusing on engineering, procurement, and plant installation, which includes the balance of plant and equipment needed for full SG100 operation.
“It’s important that we identify, and work with, leading, ‘best in class’, strategic partners like Wood to ensure a successful deployment of our Standard Gas technology throughout the UK and Europe.”
