Wilden launches new chemical resistance guide phone app

Wilden, part of Dover Corporation's Pump Solutions Group (PSG) and a global specialist in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, has launched its new Chemical Resistance Guide mobile app.

The new app has been specifically designed to provide Wilden customers with one-click access to information regarding the chemical resistance of various types of diaphragm materials. The app works on any modern mobile device, regardless of platform – iPhone, Android, Windows and Blackberry – and can be saved to a user's device home screen so it can be accessed without a network connection. This feature allows users to gain access to this valuable information from their fingertips while the field.

'Today more than ever, customers are looking to lower maintenance costs and improve mean time between failures (MTBF), and a diaphragm's chemical compatibility can have a huge effect on the diaphragm life of any AODD pump,' says Carrie Halle, PSG director of marketing, Americas. 'This new phone app is specifically designed to help distributors and customers get access to diaphragm chemical resistance information right at their fingertips, which can help optimise the performance of their Wilden AODD pumps.'

Recently, Wilden has developed a suite of new tools, guides and information that will educate customers on the various diaphragms available for AODD pumps. The new tools range from basic diaphragm information to a detailed cross-reference grid.
