Watson-Marlow opens new office, test lab in South Africa

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) has opened a new office in South Africa, which includes a servicing facility and peristaltic test laboratory demonstration area.

The new, larger facility, which measures over 2,300 square metres, will help to provide additional levels of technical support for the company’s Bredel range of high-pressure hose pumps, as well as the MasoSine sinusoidal pumps and Watson-Marlow peristaltic pumps and tubing.

The office, which is located in Laser Park, West Ran, will be staffed by 28 team members who will be led by general manager Nico van Schalkwyk.

In addition to space for clean stores for products, dedicated receiving and dispatch areas, and extra space for warehousing and pump servicing, the new facility also features a training centre and test laboratory.

This area will be used to deliver operation and maintenance training to WMFTG’s workforce, as well as to distributors and customers.

“This is a very exciting time for my team and I,” said van Schalkwyk. “We’re delighted that the investment in additional facilities allows us to offer a much deeper level of support to our many customers. I am particularly proud that we are offering the first peristaltic test lab in South Africa and which will keep us one step ahead our competitors.”
