Vitalis Extraction awarded patent for flow control valve
CO2 extraction company Vitalis Extraction Technology (Vitalis) announced that it has received its first patent for a flow control valve, according to a public release provided by media outlet Cision.
Patent US10143937 involves the design of a cyclone separator and superfluid extraction system with a novel needle flow control valve, according to a release provided by media outlet Cision.
The novel needle valve allows the operator to manage the CO2 flow running from the extraction vessel into the separator assembly and achieve process optimisation.
News of the patent follows on from Vitalis earning its American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) certification for its fabrication facility in October.
