UK pump industry job seekers service launched
The British Pump Manufacturers Association has launched a new, free service for those looking for work in the pump sector or its associated trades.
According to a statement, the service, dubbed the Pipeline Vacancy Board, is aimed at unemployed job seekers or those facing redundancy.
The online service will help identify job seekers to those companies with vacancies specific to the pumps and pump systems related industry.
There are two main motivations for the new service. Firstly, BPMA members have highlighted to the association difficulties in finding and recruiting new talent. At the same time, the BPMA is ‘keen’ to work with universities in the UK to help place suitable students within UK pump companies.
Vacancies on the website will have a unique reference number, which will be quoted on any application or CV request. This means no individual name or company will be identified on the website. BPMA will then act as an intermediary, contacting the relevant parties for further information.
Pump related companies with appropriate vacancies, or candidates ‘interested in promoting themselves via the service, are encouraged to contact the BPMA.
