Pumps provided by Maag for new polycarbonate plant in China

Manufacturers of gear pumps, pelletizing and filtration systems and also pulverisers, Maag, have secured a contract with China’s Hainan Huasheng New Material Technology Co Ltd. Maag produce their products in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, USA and China.  

World Pumps reports that it will be supplying pumps, pelletizing systems and screen changers for its new polycarbonate-production facility in Hainan Province.  

The facility is due to be completed in 2020 and will be capable of producing up to 260 kilotons per annum of polycarbonate. This will average to around 573 million pounds of polycarbonate per year. Once produced, it will be used worldwide as a base compound in the manufacturing of electronic, automotive, aircraft, railway and security components as well as, construction materials and data storage devices.
