Perma-Pipe secures €4 million contract in Egypt
Perma-Pipe International Holdings has announced its Egypt subsidiary has been awarded $6 million (€4.53 million) in contracts by the China State Construction Engineering Company (CSCEC).
This is for the provision of thermally insulated pipe, field joints and a leak detection system for a district cooling network. This is for the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in the central business district of the new administrative capital of Egypt, 45km east of Cairo.
The project began at Perma-Pipe’s facilities in Beni Suef in the fourth quarter of this year.
Adham Sharkawy, general manager for Perma-Pipe Egypt, said: “Perma-Pipe looks forward to serving CSCEC and NUCA under Dar Al-Handasah’s supervision on this project and to continuing our role in providing infrastructure for construction of the capital city project.
