New pumps can handle viscous fluids

White Knight Fluid Handling has developed two new air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps, suitable for handling viscous fluids such as food-based products, cosmetics and slurries containing solid materials.

The PSD08 and PSD16 models can achieve up to 63 litres per minute (lpm) and 142 lpm flow rates respectively, while minimising air consumption and operational noise.

The plastic design is leak proof and icing-resistant, providing safe operational, even with the most corrosive chemicals.

The pumps are available in 0.5 and 1" models, respectively, with optional materials to meet the abrasion-, temperature- and chemical-compatibility requirements of a number of applications.

They are suitable for the semiconductor, solar and LED sectors, offering the means of chemicals distribution, reclaim and bulk transport processes.
