New flow meters to improve safety and increase viscosity

UK-based Titan Enterprises has launched a new range of stainless steel and aluminium oval gear flow meters with a clear acrylic top.

Titan believes the ability to visually check flowing liquid, from the visible rotation of the gears, has particular safety of operation benefits with viscous fluids such as lubricating oils. The oval gear (OG) flowmeters are available in sizes from ¼” to 1” diameter, for flows between 1 ml/min and 100l/min.

‘These meters are as happy measuring simple aqueous solutions as they are measuring more viscous fluids such as lubricating oils and greases,’ a Titan statement read. ‘Unlike other flow meters, measurement accuracy with our oval gear meters improves as the liquid viscosity increases, from a nominal 1% to around 0.1% of flow rate at higher viscosities.’
