Leslie Controls’ Aeroflow valves feature ‘smart’ valve technology

Valve manufacturer Leslie Controls, a CIRCOR brand, has announced an offering of Aeroflow high performance control valves.

The Aeroflow range integrates an aerodynamic/hydrodynamic flow design, smart valve technology and a modular design concept.

The valves can be used in combination with desuperheating systems and for power plant, industrial and defence applications, according to the company.

Smart valve capabilities include an optional ‘dead zone’ inlet/outlet for accurate, stable pressure measurements, while the valves additionally feature digital positioning.

The Aeroflow flow control valves provide Cv/size ratios not previously offered in cage guided control valves. They also exceed ANSI Class VI shutoff, while a pressure energised pilot balanced plug provides zero cc/min leak rates to prevent seat erosion and wire drawing.

The design also removes the need for any piston seals to ensure tight shutoff.
