KROHNE adds new variable area flowmeter to portfolio
German industrial process instrumentation supplier KROHNE has launched the new H250 M40 variable area flowmeter, which is now available with extensive options for low flow measurement.
The flowmeter’s existing DK32, DK34 and DK37/M8M purgemeters are now rated as SIL2 compliant.
The new low flow option features a wide range of process connections, communication options and Ex-approvals and offers the DK37 purgemeter’s small measuring cones. It is suitable for liquid flows starting at 0.16 litres per hour and gas flows starting at 1.6 litres per hour.
Formerly rated SIL1, the DK32, DK34 and DK37/M8M purgemeters have been re-assessed as SIL2 compliant, according to IEC 61508-2:2010 for both NAMUR safety switches and NAMUR standard switches.
Optional mechanical flow controllers or flange adapters are included in the SIL compliance.
