Kirloskar Brothers Limited receives submersible pumps patent
Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), based in India, has received a patent for its NS type of submersible pumps.
The Patent Office of the Government of India has offered the patent in KBL’s name entitled ‘Arrangements for Reducing Weight of Pumps’.
NS submersible pumps are used for sewage, dewatering and seepage applications. The impellers of these pumps are of the non-clog variety, enabling the smooth passage of solids, and cater to a wide range of applications.
As these pumps are lightweight, they are more efficient and, therefore, result in faster pumping of contaminated effluents, sewage water, and industrial wastewater. The reduced waste also means the maintenance and handling of the pump are more user-friendly.
