Grundfos’ circulator pump receives environmental declaration

Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos announced that its circulator pump Magna3 now comes with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) which details the product’s impact on the environment.

According to the company, the EPD outlines the environmental footprint left by Magna3 regarding its energy consumption, chemical substances and emissions.

Grundfos claims that this is the first time any pump manufacturer has acquired an EPD in accordance with the European standard EN 15804.

“It is a very important step for Grundfos to be able to document towards our customers the environmental performance of our products in a standardised way,” said Mathias Høeg, senior Life Cycle Assessment specialist at Grundfos.
