Fluidwell launches E-series explosion-proof flow computers
Fluidwell, a Dutch liquid management instrumentation provider, has launched its E-series of explosion-proof flow computers.
This range of explosion-proof indicators, totalizers, and monitoring systems are designed to be used in harsh and difficult hazardous area applications.
Eric Rath, general manager of Fluidwell in Netherlands, says the E-series is distinguished by its manufacturing, functionality, and design.
‘Often, the environment is much tougher than the explosion proof requirements demand. Thus dangerous conditions may be experienced due to a broken enclosure or a poorly made flame path,’ Rath says.
The E-series flow computers are available in die cast aluminium and 316L stainless steel enclosures, with the aluminium enclosure designed for outdoors and chemical plants and the steel version for salty environments, such as offshore installations.
The computers feature an easy-to-use user interface capable of being used through a glass window without the need to remove the cover or cease operation, thus saving time and costs.
Each setting is indicated with an alphanumerical description, without confusing abbreviations and codes.
The E-Series have been certified according ATEX, IECEx and CSAC-US with an ambient temperature of -40 to 70°C.
In connectivity, the computer features Modbus, USB, and Fluidwell configuration cable connections, with remote configuration capability by using Fluidwell’s E-series configuration software.
