EPS acquires majority stake in Scotland’s Ferrier Pumps
Irish company EPS has announced the acquisition of the majority shareholding in Scottish engineering company Ferrier Pumps.
EPS Group is a water and wastewater infrastructure specialist and employs over 500 people in Ireland and the UK.
The addition of Ferrier Pumps brings 47 team members and branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen along with 40 years of experience.
Established by Brian Ferrier in 1981, Ferrier Pumps has been serving Scotland’s utility, industrial, commercial, residential and agricultural markets as one of the country’s leading pumping specialists.
Ferrier Pumps are water, wastewater treatment and pumping specialists, with an extensive product sales and distribution capability.
The company also offers design, manufacturing and assembly; contracting; after-care service repair and maintenance and full MEICA capabilities across Scotland and northern England.
EPS Group managing director Patrick Buckley said: “With a combined 92 years of experience between the two companies, we firmly believe that Ferrier Pumps will prosper further as part of EPS Group, leveraging our experience in the digital engineering, DfMA and asset management spaces as well as gaining access to our multiple technology & product partners.”
