Emerson introduces Coriolis flowmeter designed for improved measurement insight

Emerson Process Management has introduced the Micro Motion Model 5700 Transmitter, a Coriolis flow transmitter designed to translate measurement data into meaningful insight and instruction.

According to the manufacturer, the Model 5700 is suitable for a broad range of applications, from liquid and gas custody transfer to simple process control.

The Model 5700 provides users with access to measurement history for troubleshooting or optimising the process through a graphical user interface designed for intuitive operation.

The new transmitter translates Coriolis measurement data into operating insight through time-stamped history files for process and meter health data and keeps logs for configuration changes and alarms.

Emerson says the Model 5700 digital signal processing architecture provides a fast flow response time, making it suitable for custody transfer proving and short batching applications.

The historian feature also improves Micro Motion smart meter verification, which provides measurement of the full meter health without process interruption.

The transmitter is compatible with new and previously installed Micro Motion Elite Coriolis sensors, features a field-mount design that is suitable for most hazardous area installation practices, and is available with both integral and remote installation options.

It currently includes options for analogue, pulse, discrete and Modbus outputs, and an analogue or HART input.
