Emerson expands line of flowmeters

Emerson Process Management has expanded its line of Coriolos flowmeters.

The new Micro Motion Elite CMFS sensor platform is suitable for measuring smaller line sizes (pipelines less than DN50) and, along with the existing Elite flowmeters, can be used in a range of applications such as chemical injection, production blending and process, gas solutions and batching operations in a variety of industries including chemical, oil and gas, food and beverage, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries along with integrators and skid builders.

The new Micro Motion Elite CMFS unit features nine sensor sizes in three compact footprints, from 1-50mm in nominal diameter lines sizes. Additionally, the meter is lightweight and has a fully drainable design, for optimum performance in critical and demanding applications; the meter design provides measurements in challenging fluid conditions such as changing densities, pressures, temperatures and viscosities.

Additionally, the meter offers a reliable, repeatable measurement in transient two-phase flow conditions. They are virtually immune to pipeline vibration, changing process conditions, mounting or environmental effects.

The new meters are available in stainless steel 316L and nickel alloy for corrosive and high pressure applications. For cryogenic and high temperature applications, the meter handles process temperatures from -240-204°C.

They have been designed to integrate into processes with a wide range of transmitter options featuring integral or remote mounting options, and also offer a range of protocols that include Hart, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus PA, Profibus DP, Modbus, or EtherNet/IP.
