Dura 5 and 7 peristaltic pumps launched by Verderflex

Verderflex has extended its range of Dura peristaltic pumps with two new additions to the line.

The new 5mm and 7mm high pressure low volume hose dosing models are designed to handle less than 1 l/hr at 5 or 8 bar with a reinforced hose. The range, designed to handle slurry and sludge-like fluids such as those found in wastewater treatment, now has dosing/transfer rates of up to 12 m3 p/h.

Abrasive wear from slurry-type fluids is minimal thanks to the central rotor turning and compressing a hose and displacing the fluid. No moving parts come into contact with the hose meaning there is no abrasive wear.

Key applications include:

• Dosing of lime and other chemical solutions in the treatment of wastewater and sewage
• Dosing of sodium hypochlorite for bacterial remediation
• Acidity control/pH buffering
• Delivery of pigment solution in manufacturing.
