Chesterton opens new European mechanical seals hub
AW Chesterton has opened a new European mechanical seals manufacturing hub at its German operations near Munich.
The fully functional service centre in Ismaning will offer its customers and partners improved services as well as enhance its business development plans in the region.
Local engineering, inventory and manufacturing will improve the company’s reaction time and increase flexibility.
Volkert Wanner, the managing director and head of operations, said he was delighted with the new hub.
He said: “In Ismaning, we have excellent customer experience in all operational functions and technical support. Our engineering team is fully integrated into the global Chesterton engineering network.”
Chesterton’s will be able to offer faster delivery to its range of clients. With more than 40 years’ experience in this technology, Chesterton is standardising essential components and has automated its manufacturing processes thanks to the Axius Seal platform.
